About Four Little Adults

Four adults test the limits of love in this groundbreaking relationship drama from Finnish filmmaker Selma Vilhunen.

Juulia (Alma Pöysti) is a successful Member of the Parliament with a seemingly perfect marriage with her priest husband Matias (Eero Milonoff). But when Juulia finds out Matias has had a year-long affair with Enni (Oona Airola), she collapses.

To save her relationship, Juulia proposes a polyamorous marriage and invites Enni to be a part of their lives. Soon, Juulia herself falls in love with queer cabaret singer Miska (Pietu Wikström) and the quartet form a loving yet complicated extended family.

A relationship drama in a new form, Vilhunen’s story explores modern romance in a mature way, avoiding sensationalism in order to authentically understand the desires of a series of chaotic, complex characters.
