Jo Feldwick biography
Jo’s practice combines painting and paper craft, working with paper to make decorations, cards and folded artist books. She paints with acrylic and watercolours. She often uses experimental techniques such as mono printing and collage that invite unpredictable outcomes. Themes range from abstracts to narrative and expressive images, often related to memories and stories. Her prints and paintings have been included in exhibitions at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA).
Jo says: ‘I have taught a variety of art and paper craft courses at MAC since 2010. As an artist tutor I want to share my enjoyment of making art and my understanding of creative processes. My current courses begin with getting to know the materials and how to use them before moving on to individual choices, such as developing designs and colour combinations. I hope that the examples and demonstrations I use provide inspiration and that each person discovers and explores their own direction.’
Jo teaches Papercrafts: Paper Pop Up Cards.
