I am a trained artist and teacher having gained an MA/Postgraduate Certificate - fine art painting (Royal Academy Schools, London), Postgraduate Diploma - Art History (UCE), BA Hons - Fine Art (Falmouth) and Further Education and Adult Education Teaching Cert’ (UCE). I have thirty years of AE, FE & tertiary teaching/workshop experience.

My work has been exhibited at several mixed exhibitions including: National Portrait Gallery, RA Summer Exhibition, V & A Museum, Mall Gallery London, Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, RBSA, mac birmingham, New Art Gallery Walsall.
I have followed a career mainly as a humble “full-time part-time” AE tutor and facilitator. Yet along the way, I have been lucky enough to be included in numerous books and win first prize in prestigious competitions for my art work. These include: the ‘Daily Mail NOT the Turner Prize, 2004,’ (which is on a par with ‘The Turner Prize,’ but specifically for figurative painting, and selected from 10,000 entries). At the RBSA: 'The Prize Show’ (twice), 'Open Oils', 'Open Drawing' (twice), 'Members & Associates' (three times). In London the ‘FBA Women on canvas’, ‘RBA Rowney Prize’, ‘Spirit of London,’ ’Royal-Over-Seas-League’ (twice), ‘Stowells Trophy Competition for all art colleges’ and the ‘RA Schools Turner Gold Medal.’
