Rachel Green

Rachel Green biography

The last eighteen years or so has been spent working as a theatre specialist in the Performing Arts. This has involved teaching, facilitating, directing, acting, evaluating and managing projects/performance arts events in a diverse range of theatre settings.

I am very passionate about the work I do and I think it is important to be down to earth and have fun whilst making and creating drama. I am fortunate to have an exciting career that involves creating theatre and art projects with a range of interesting people, which involves working from the ages of 7 to 75. So there is never a dull moment!

Alongside this, I have been fortunate to have won awards and recognition for helping excluded members of the community through a range of meaningful arts and wellbeing projects. This has lead to practical experiences of facilitating and supporting work in large-scale community and inclusion projects for numerous organisations and sectors. As an aside to this I work as a character actress and enjoy performing stand-up comedy.

It is exciting to work at the mac as there is always so much going on across all of the art forms. The facilities are brilliant and I love working in the English Studio which has a great view of all of the park!
