Event Information

Learn how to create your own musical show in just one week! Unlock your imagination, build your confidence and explore your creativity in a safe and happy place while learning about a range of singing and dramatic principles.

What will you learn on this course?

In this five-day camp children will explore drama and singing and learn all about the creative process of writing, staging and directing their very own show.

The main aim of this course is developing a set of skills such as improvisation, movement, problem solving, group work, public speaking and singing. This will improve confidence and have a long-lasting impact in young peoples’ lives.

They will develop their creativity while learning various dramatic principles, theatre and singing popular songs to complement and enhance the drama and story.

They will engage in drama and singing games, learn how to devise a story and imagine characters, then choose their songs that will complement the dramatic presentation from their favourite musicals or popular music.

Children will understand how to work to a brief and collaborate with others whilst having lots of fun and making new friends.

At the end of the week children will have the opportunity to share their work with family and friends.

The course is delivered by professional singer Maria Lui with professional actor and artist Ana Petrovici, who will work closely with the group to create a happy safe space while also providing a stimulus for the playful exploration of ideas.
