What will you learn on this course?
This high energy dance course will teach children how to dance in a Bollywood style. Bollywood is a dance style used in many Indian films and by some pop stars. It is a fusion of dance styles that includes classical Indian dance such as Kathak and Bharatanatyam combined with elements of western styles like street dance and modern jazz. This course will teach children the techniques to perform Bollywood dance body movements and they will also learn about the use of space and how to perform with expression.
Over the course of the term students will learn how to build a dance routine and practice it to performance standards with the opportunity to perform in a sharing at the end of term.
This course is a great way for children to stay active and help improve their fitness levels while learning to work well with others and improve their confidence as a dancer.
