  • 1pm – 5.30pm: Outdoor Theatre: Live music, workshops, activities and information stalls

Join Celebrating Sanctuary Birmingham on Saturday 17 June for a festival of music and arts from around the world, celebrating the launch of Refugee Week 2023.

Expect fun for all the family, with live music from Mohamed Osman, TwoManTing, Karolina Wegrzyn & Banda and Suntou Susso, a programme of short films, information stalls, activities, workshops and more! 

This is an annual festival bringing people together to celebrate the contribution of refugee and migrant artists. An opportunity to understand more about the experiences of refugees through a universal appreciation for life, joy and music.

On Saturday 17 June 2023, large external events may impact your travel to MAC. During cricket matches and the Ashes (16 - 20 June) the car park is likely to be busy. Please plan your journey ahead of your visit and leave extra time where necessary.
