Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at all abilities and is suitable for learners with long-term health conditions or disability, mental health difficulties including anxiety and depression, and those wishing to meet new people and learn new skills.

This course is for adults aged 18+ years. It is open to all levels and no previous experience is required. The course may be accessible for people with disabilities. Students may bring their own Carer or support worker. Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

What will you learn on this course?

In this course you will have the chance to explore the world of clay and its potential for creative output and develop your own working style!

You will learn hand-building techniques such as coiling, slab building and have the chance to experiment with decorative techniques such as slip decoration and a variety of glazing techniques.

By the end of this course you will have produced a piece or several experimental pieces at a pace that suits you! This course is not only about making but self-discovery; creating a sense of achievement and developing self-confidence along the way.

Do you need to bring anything?

You don’t need to bring anything. All materials and equipment is provided.
