Includes a post-show discussion with Skinder Hundal, CEO New Art Exchange
A documentary film by Ashok Vish, follows the lives of five boys (aged 4-8 years old) during their rehearsal period for the month-long Ramlila performance based on the epic poem, Ramayana.
During the festival, the boys are considered to be living gods, and are worshipped by the people of the community. This extraordinary documentary invites us to explore the gap between reality and fiction, highlighting the ordinary aspects of being kids, as they temporarily enter the realm of the divine.
Hindi with English subtitles.
