Francesca had it all. Now unemployed her debts are soaring, her health is flagging and her heart is ailing.

Desperately trying to hold everything together she takes a job as a cleaning lady. A role for which she has no credentials except obsessive compulsive disorder.

Her new job brings her a new lease of life as Franki the Singing Cleaning Lady.

Close to the Edge explores the serious issues of limited opportunities for older black women.

The play explores strategies for survival and rising above adversity when your mental stability is threatened.

Close to the Edge is about abundance in crisis,coping with stress and adjusting to change.

The performance will be followed by a Q and A facilitated by Maxine Shervington with Performer Sharon Jones and Writer/Director Viv Manjaro of Planet Arts.
