Event Information

Based on the children’s book series by Belgian author Gabrielle Vincent, Ernest & Celestine tells the tale of Celestine, an orphaned mouse and Ernest, a down-on-his-luck bear.

Celestine is passionate about drawing but, as all rodents do, must soon venture above ground to collect bear cub’s teeth from under their pillows to begin her apprenticeship as a dentist. When her first night of tooth-collecting goes awry, Celestine encounters Ernest, a bear living on the fringes of society. As their day goes increasingly wrong, they both form an unlikely friendship.

Before the screening, join the Colour Box team in the Performance Studio for an hour long drop-in workshop. The drop-in workshop begins at 10am in the Performance Studio and the relaxed film screening begins at 11am in the cinema.

Please note: tickets are also available to see the film without the workshop. Please call our box office on 0121 446 3232 for more information.
