Showing how tiny but brave Kirikou outwits a powerful sorceress, this enchanting animated adventure was inspired by the folk stories of Senegal. Writer-director Michel Ocelot’s fresh vision of Africa is a world away from Disney’s singing lions and features an authentic soundtrack by Youssou N’Dour.
Before the screening, join the Colour Box team in the Performance Studio for an hour long drop-in workshop led by artist Roo Dhissou. The workshop will involve making garden tapestries using fabriano paper (replicating the exotic gardens in the film), using various objects including sponges, brushes and potatoes!
The drop-in workshop begins at 10am in the Performance Studio and the relaxed film screening begins at 11am in the cinema.
Tickets are also available to see the film without the workshop. Please call our box office on 0121 446 3232 for more information.
Please note: The film contains some natural nudity.
