Based on Alan Snow’s children’s novel Here Be Monsters, this charming stop-motion fable from the makers of Coraline is the perfect film to get kids and parents in the mood for Halloween.
Eggs is a young orphaned boy raised by the Boxtrolls, trash collectors who live in a cavernous realm under the streets who are under threat from the posh town’s villain, an evil exterminator named Archibald Snatcher. Eggs has to venture above ground into the light to save his friends, teaming up with the feisty Winnifred as they hatch a daring plan to save the underground community.
Before the screening, join the Colour Box team in the Performance Studio for an hour long drop-in workshop where you can prepare something suitably spooky for this year’s Halloween!
The drop-in workshop begins at 10am in the Performance Studio and the relaxed film screening begins at 11am in the Hexagon.
Tickets are also available to see the film without the workshop. Please call our box office on 0121 446 3232 for more information.
