Make your very own shoebox zoo in this wild 3-day creative camp!
What will you learn on this course?
This course will stimulate your imagination and allow your creativity to run wild as you draw inspiration from your favourite animals to make your very own zoo. Using card and mixed media materials, you’ll create colourful zoo animals including monkeys, elephants, and tigers, and build the zoo that they live in!
Learners will gain visual art, design and craft making skills in a range of 2D and 3D techniques, and will use a range of art equipment and materials to gain an understanding of creating art work through different methods including drawing and sculpture.
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for children aged 8 to 14 years. It is open to all ability levels and does not require any previous experience. Parents are not expected to accompany children on these courses. All our staff are DBS checked.
The course is accessible for children of all abilities who can participate in practical art and craft activities. We provide a learning support worker in every session, and additional care can be arranged if necessary. A parent or carer may attend to assist the child if required; carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible.
Age ranges are set carefully to take into account key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to.
Do you need to bring anything?
All course material and equipment are provided. Children should dress appropriately as some visual art workshops can get a bit messy.
Please note that lunch is not provided. Children will need to bring their own lunch to eat on a supervised one-hour break. If you would like lunch to be included, please book one of our additional childcare options.
