Event Information

Learn how to create your own stunning audio-visual artwork, led by digital artist and innovator Allie Joy (Syntropy States) and professional music producer Nicole Justice (Amber Music Group). You will discover how to make a moving meditative digital animation and create an ambient sound track.

What will you learn on this course?

During this week long workshop, young people will learn how to create their own meditative digital artwork and ambient sound track. By the end of the week, they will have produced a relaxing and meditative artwork that can be shared with others.

Students will work with Adobe After Effects software to create the relaxing visuals for their artwork. In this part of the course, students will develop their art skills and learn some of the intricacies of digital design.

They will then learn how to use Logic Pro software in our dedicated Media Studio to create their ambient sound scapes. During this part of the course, students can expect to develop their understanding of creating digital music, sampling, music composition and production skills in a fun and creative environment.

This highly creative course encourages participants to create art and music that is personal to them, and express themselves with colour, shape, and sound. This course is designed to teach useful skills for future careers including music production, creative thinking, and working with new technology and software.

Participants are encouraged to work collaboratively, but have the option to produce their own individual piece. At the end of the week, the participants will share their work with family and friends at a private screening hosted in one of MAC’s performance spaces.

The students work may be included in the Syntropy States app.
