Thu 12 April / 10am - 12.30pm, £11, Ages 7-11 years

Learn some top techniques to inspire and hone your creative skills.

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for children aged 7 to 11 years. It is open to all ability levels and children don’t need previous experience. Parents are not expected to accompany children on these courses. All our staff are DBS checked.

The course is accessible for children of all abilities, however we suggest speaking to us if the child has a disability that may impact on writing. There is a learning support worker and a parent or carer may assist their child if they require 1-1 support. Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible.

Age ranges are set carefully to take into account key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages therefore age ranges need to be adhered to.

What will you learn on this course?

This half day course will bring some fun into creative writing and provide techniques on how to start a story and develop ideas. Carol’s approach is about building confidence and finding enjoyment as well as embracing the drafting process.  By the end of the morning everyone will have some finished pieces of writing or work that they can take away to develop further. No matter if you’re an inspiring writer or want to get to grips with where to start, this course will offer something for you.

All course materials are provided. There are no additional costs for this course.
