Learn how to create your own bass-lines and beats and produce your first track.

What will you learn on this course?

This is a fun one-day workshop where you will learn how to create your own bass-lines and beats. With support from the tutor, you will be guided through the process of making your own musical composition in mac's dedicated media studio. This will include learning how to create basic arrangements and understanding song structure.

You will learn technical skills such as recording midi, recording audio, programming beats and audio editing. The media studio is equipped with Apple Mac computers, microphones and midi keyboards all ready to help you write your first hit record.

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for young people aged 11 to 17 years. It is open to all ability levels you don’t need previous experience. Parents are not expected to accompany young people on these courses. All our staff are DBS checked.

The course is accessible for young people of all abilities. A learning support worker is provided and a parent or carer may assist the young person if required. Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible.

Age ranges are set carefully to take into account key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to.
