Event Information

Idolised by Bob Dylan, Nick Cave and Joanna Newsom, folk blues singer and guitarist Karen Dalton was a charismatic figure in the music scene of 1960s New York. A reluctant live performer and a fiercely independent artist, Dalton led an unconventional life until her death in 1993. In My Own Time draws on Dalton’s recordings and interviews with loved ones to build a rich portrait of a singularly gifted musician.
