Presented in partnership with Kaleidoscope
Still going strong after almost six decades, Doctor Who has become a British institution that has charmed and thrilled different generations since its first episode aired on 23rd November 1963. Square Eyes celebrates an astonishing British success story with the help of Birmingham based archivists Kaleidoscope, who have been scouring the land for unique and little seen clips from this televisual landmark. Most Doctor Who content has found its way onto BBC DVD and blu-ray releases but some items remain in the vaults. Tony Virgo will be talking about directing the Peter Davison serial The King’s Demons and there will be a special feature on the development of the BBC animated adventures over the last fifteen years.
