Make and decorate a rainmaker, a boomerang and make a wall hanging inspired by Australian aboriginal painting techniques and imagery. You will be creating your work using hand stencils, spray paint and dot art.
What will you learn on this course?
On this one day workshop children will learn how to make their own dotty art works, inspired by Australian aboriginal painting techniques and imagery.
The day will be fun, learning with other children in a friendly and encouraging environment allowing children to use their imagination and create something to take home to play with.
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for children aged 6 to 11 years. It is open to all ability levels and children don’t need previous experience. Parents are not expected to accompany children on these courses. All our staff are DBS checked.
The course is accessible for children of all abilities who can participate in practical art and craft activities. We provide a learning support worker and a parent or carer may assist their child if additional support is required. Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible.
Age ranges are set carefully to take into account key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to.
Do you need to bring anything?
Children should dress appropriately as some of the visual art workshops can get a bit messy.
