The acclaimed television series Downton Abbey followed the lives of the Crawley family and the servants who worked for them at the turn of the 20th century.
Over its 6 seasons, the series garnered 3 Golden Globe Awards, 15 Primetime Emmy Awards, a Special BAFTA award and 69 Emmy nominations in total, making Downton Abbey the most nominated non-US television show in the history of the Emmys - even earning a Guinness World Record for the highest critically rated TV show along the way.
Now the Crawley household graduate to the big screen, with a story set in 1927 and centring on the royal visit of King George V and Queen Mary to Downton Abbey, prompting Michelle Dockery’s Lady Mary to ask retired head butler, Carson (Jim Carter), to return to the estate.
Both screenings (Wed 25 Sep + Wed 2 Oct at 1.15pm, will be followed by an afternoon tea including fresh sandwiches, homemade scones with jam and clotted cream, cakes and lashings of tea for an additional £13.50.
