Event Information
Sun 19 September 2021 | 11am – 4pm | Free | MAC Public Spaces | All ages | Full programme below
2021 is the Year of Building Back Better and our fifth annual MAC EcoFest. We will be showcasing green events from across our programme, with free workshops, screenings and more.
Talks & Discussion
Join us for a series of talks in MAC's Theatre including BBC presenter and horticulturist Alys Fowler, who will be signing copies of her new book Eat What You Grow.
Three talks will be BSL interpreted by Hayley Brown and Sarah Perks. Please see the full timetable below.
This year, we're asking audiences 'Can small changes make a difference?' Get involved at our Discussion Table in MAC's Foyer, where visitors can share their thoughts on how we can work together to make a positive impact on the environment.
Stallholders
We'll be joined by a number of eco-friendly stallholders, including Dr Bike - bring your bike to EcoFest and have it fixed for FREE!
Dirty Vegan Pop-Up
For EcoFest 2021 we will be making our Express Grab and Go counter 100% vegan and will host a Dirty Vegan street food tent on MAC's Terrace.
Live Art & Workshops
Artist Olivier Jamin will be creating a live art draw-a-long in our Terrace Gallery, and visitors can get creative in free workshops including making your own seed bombs and eco art bird feeders.
Join Online
If you can't attend EcoFest in-person, we'll be live-streaming a number of talks on this webpage on the day. You can also repurpose your old clothes at home with our Repair Clothing Online Workshop.
EcoFest 2021 is part of the Great Big Green Week, the UK’s biggest call for action on climate change. MAC's events are supported by The Climate Coalition.
