What will you learn on this course?
Etching is a drawing process that dates back to the 14th century, originally used to create designs on armour and jewellery. This course introduces learners to a modern form of etching that involves using an electric current to engrave images on to pieces of copper that they will then transform into beautiful pieces of jewellery. Normally this is carried out through a process of very harmful chemicals that would require specialist equipment making it inaccessible to most. However, Electro-etching uses low voltage to etch your drawings onto the metal and is completely safe!
Do you need to bring anything?
You don’t need to bring anything. All tools and safety equipment is provided.
