Event Information

As a family, learn about different artists and art making techniques to create your own masterpiece. This February Half Term we will be looking at the illustrations of Quentin Blake, learning about marbling, collage and simple etching processes.

What will you learn on this course?

This one-day workshop is a chance for families to enjoy learning about art techniques together.

The tutor will introduce a range of different art materials and methods. You will experiment with drawing, printing and painting that you can continue making at home.

You will learn how to find inspiration for project themes and get help developing ideas to encourage the budding artist - whatever their age! Every family will leave with a large scale collaborative family artwork to proudly display in their home.

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for children aged 6-11 years to enjoy learning with a parent or guardian. It is open to all levels. You don’t need any previous experience as full instruction and guidance is given. 

The course is accessible for people of all abilities as families will be working together and can provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible.

Do you need to bring anything?


Are there any additional costs?

The course fee covers one child and one adult. There is a charge for each additional person (adult or child). There must be one adult for every three children.
