Event Information

Be inspired by David Hockney and Cannon Hill Park as you use a range of materials and methods such as mono-printing and photo-collage.

What will you learn on this course?

This one-day workshop is a chance for families to enjoy learning about visual art techniques together. Using the work of David Hockney as inspiration, the tutor will introduce a range of different art materials and methods, such as mono-printing and photo-collage. You will learn how to find inspiration for project themes and get help developing ideas to encourage the budding artist - whatever their age!

Using Cannon Hill Park as a starting point, you will learn methods for beginning a project and how to source inspiration from the surroundings. You will record images and collect material to create a collaborative family artwork at the end of the session. The tutor will demonstrate different techniques to the group and each family will be shown how they can adapt them to their own work.

Every family will leave with a large scale collaborative family artwork to proudly display in their home.
