Conjure up majestic creatures made of bricks and join us for a magical adventure of your design. Take inspiration from the wizarding world, create your creatures and design the far off places they come from. After enrolling in the School of Wizardry, conjure spells and solve riddles to progress through a board game style adventure! Just be careful where you point your wand, or you’ll go home as a frog!

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for children aged 6 to 11 years. It is open to all ability levels and children don’t need previous experience. Parents are not expected to accompany children on these courses. All our staff are DBS checked.

The course is accessible for children of all abilities who can participate in practical art and craft activities. We can provide a learning support worker and a parent or carer may assist their child if required. The room is wheelchair accessible. Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support.

Age ranges are set carefully to take into account key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to.

What will you learn on this course?

This is a fun 1 day workshop designed for children to explore a range of creative activities that include visual arts, crafts, 3d building with Lego™. Children will use Lego to problem-solve and build their way through the board game, taking home a collectible Lego mini-figure which will be their playable character piece during the day.

Children will learn to:

Create and illustrate a magical story for your creatures and places.

Learn how to document and illustrate your work.

Imagine then build 3D structures in plastic bricks to bring your drawings to life.

Complete tasks against the clock and engage with problem solving.

Work individually and within a team within a fun friendly environment.

Do you need to bring anything?

Children need to bring their own lunch to eat on a supervised one hour break. All course materials and equipment are provided.
