Midlands based writers and producers Kit de Waal and Dean O'Loughlin are currently adapting Kit's novel The Trick To Time for the small screen through their new production company Portopia, making them the perfect hosts for this panel event discussing the (sometimes painful) process of turning a book into a script. De Waal and O'Loughlin will be joined by screenwriter Shola Amoo, who recently adapted de Waal’s debut novel My Name Is Leon for the BBC, as well as other guests with hard-won experience in transforming pages into images.
MAC’s reopening cinema programme has been generously supported by BFI FAN Covid-19 Resilience fund from the National Lottery, through the BFI Film Audience Fund.
