Learn how make gelatin plates and create unique mono prints with this innovative technique.
Who is this course for?
This course is for adults aged 18+ years and is for all levels who would like to learn a new printing process.
What will you learn on this course?
You will learn how to make gelatin plate at home (the plates themselves will be ready to use on the day).
You will learn the qualities of mono printing on gelatin, learn the additive method, how to work with multicolours, masking with stencils, stamps and natural objects, how to make textures with embossed papers and found objects, mono-printing and faux chine-colle.
The course is delivered through step by step instructions whilst demonstrating, and helping individuals as they progress.
The course is accessible for all abilities and experience levels. Participants who need one to one support will need to bring a Carer with them. Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible.
This course may involve working at low tables and periods of standing. Good dexterity is needed in your hands.
Do you need to bring anything?
Please wear old clothes, a waterproof apron. Please bring any specialist papers or fabrics to print onto such as gift wrap, old music scores, handmade papers or fabrics of your choice.
All other materials and equipment is provided.
