Learn how to draw still life compositions with confidence. This one day course will introduce you to the art of technical observation skills, mark making, composition and perspective. 

What will you learn on this course? 

Guided by a Professional artist, you will be introduced to the art of still life drawing within MAC’s new Garden Studio. 

You will be working with a nature inspired still life composition that includes flowers, fruit, as well as geometric shapes that will gently challenge you as an artist. 

Using a range of drawing materials such as pencils, charcoal, graphite and water soluble pencils. 

You will gain drawing skills in line drawing, mark making, tone, form and composition.  

Who is this course for? 

This course is suitable for adults aged 18+ years. It is designed for students who wish to improve their drawing techniques and skills.  

Students with some previous drawing experience will benefit from this course and it is suitable for those wishing to start from simple beginnings, then accumulatively put together more techniques as the course progresses.  

The course is accessible for people with disabilities. The room is wheelchair accessible and a support worker or carer may assist. Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation and needs. 

Do you need to bring anything? 

Basic drawing materials and paper will be provided for the day. You are welcome to bring your own dry art materials for the session.
