Learn singing techniques, musicianship, pitch and rhythm through exciting singing games.

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for children aged 6-11 years. It is open to all ability levels and children don’t need previous experience. Children who have never sung before will be taught the basics of pitch and rhythm and those with experience will learn how to improve their sound. Parents are not expected to accompany children on these courses. All our staff are DBS checked.

The course is accessible for children with disabilities who can participate in singing activities. We provide a learning support worker and a parent or carer may assist their child if required. Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible.

Age ranges are set carefully to take into account key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to.

What will you learn on this course?

Let Us Sing Juniors is a fun-packed course for young children where they can enjoy singing all sorts of songs.

Children will learn singing, good technique and musicianship taught through exciting singing games. This is a fun group which enables children to build self-confidence and develop musical skills in pitch and rhythm in a friendly environment. Children are not expected to be able to read music.

Making music by singing in a group or choir is a great way for children to develop their team working and social skills, increase self-discipline and self-confidence and improve emotional expression and verbal memory skills.

Most classes will include warm up exercises and musicianship games and may include some percussive elements to teach about rhythm. As the course progresses some children will be invited to sing in smaller groups or sing solos to gradually build their confidence as their skills increase.

You don’t need to bring anything and there are no additional costs for this course.
