What will you learn on this course?

Spend a day exploring a beautiful tale of redemption in the heart of winter! This Classic in a Day will include a reading of a shortened version of A Christmas Carol by Polly Wright and fellow performer Laurence Inman.  After introducing the book in this way- we will share extracts and discuss the incredible appeal of the story’s characters and themes, and a clip from the film it’s a Wonderful Life- which imitated Dicken’s structure. We will re-visit the narrative by reading key passages aloud and reflect on the different psychological and social interpretations of the themes- but most of all the aim of the day is to celebrate and share enjoyment of wonderful fiction.
