Celebrate everything ovoid over four festive days of art and craft with a distinctly eggy flavour. We'll be making and decorating Easter eggs in a variety of sizes and different materials, plus looking at some of the plants and animals that traditionally signify this time of transition from spring into summer.
What you will learn on this course?
Learners will gain visual art, design and craft making skills in a range of 2D and 3D techniques and will use of a range of art equipment and materials to gain an understanding of creating portraits through different art techniques including drawing, painting, printing and sculpture.
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for children aged 6 to 11 years. It is open to all ability levels and children don’t need previous experience. All our staff are DBS checked.
The course may be accessible for children with disabilities. A parent or carer may assist their child if additional support is required. Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The building is wheelchair accessible. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation and needs.
Age ranges are set carefully to take into account key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to.
About MAC Camps
MAC Camps are 4 or 5 days long half term/term holidays courses that offer children the opportunity to take part in an intensive learning experience of various art form. Each day will follow the same routine with the exception of the last day that may include a sharing event or performance. This will include 4 hours of workshop activity with mac’s specialist artist tutors and a specially selected series of film screenings linked to the course art form or subject area.
Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack is also included in the course price. Children will be supervised at all times and please ensure that they are dropped off and collected within the designated time slots.

13:00 – 15:00 Workshop session 2

17:00 – 17:30 Pick-up
Do you need to bring anything?
Children will need to bring a water based drink, wear suitable clothing that allows free movement. The course might involve use of mediums such as glue, glitter, paint etc.
