All This Mayhem is a special week long camp full of exciting yet practical art and craft workshops. Children will explore the exhibition All This Mayhem by International artist Ben Venom and their week starts with a private VIP tour of the exhibition with the curator and Creative Learning Producer.
What you will learn on this course
Gain a deeper insight into MAC's exhibition of artist Ben Venom, who makes a surprising range of heavy metal and punk rock inspired art and craft including quilts and embroidery.
During this 5 day MAC creative camp, children can try out techniques inspired by Ben Venom’s work. By the end of the course, participants will have developed skills in a variety of craft skills, and created amazing artwork with an urban twist.
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for children aged 6 to 11 years. It is open to all ability levels and children don’t need previous art and craft experience. All our staff are DBS checked.
The course is accessible for children of all abilities who can participate in practical art and craft activities. A parent or carer may assist their child if required. Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible.
Age ranges are set carefully to take into account key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to.
MAC CREATIVE CAMPS take place during school holidays, the camps run from between 2-5 days and offer intensive learning experiences across a variety of art forms. The last day of the camp may include a sharing event or performance for parents.
Our camps run from 10am to 3pm each day, with a 1-hour lunch break and children are fully supervised at all times by experienced DBS-checked staff.
