Come and craft something that is out of this world. The universe is the limit! Make a crafty space station, a planet, a space rocket or an alien life form.
What will you learn on this course?
On this one day workshop children will learn how to make a crafty out of this world creatures, planets, aliens, spacemen or a space station from paper, card and recycled mixed media.
The day will be fun, learning with other children in a friendly and encouraging environment allowing children to use their imagination and create something to take home to play with.
MAC Explorers are fun one-day workshops designed for children to explore a range of creative activities that may include visual arts, crafts, digital media and performance. All the workshops are for the same age range and offer an introduction to a particular art form. The children can usually take home anything they have made during the day.
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for children aged 6 to 11 years. It is open to all ability levels and children don’t need previous experience. Parents are not expected to accompany children on these courses. All our staff are DBS checked.
The course is accessible for children of all abilities who can participate in practical art and craft activities. We provide a learning support worker and a parent or carer may assist their child if additional support is required. Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible.
Age ranges are set carefully to take into account key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to.
Do you need to bring anything?
All course materials and equipment are provided.
Children should dress appropriately as some of the visual art workshops can get a bit messy. Children should bring a drink.
