Pom-Pom & Fabric Wreath
Create a Spring wreath using techniques such as pom-pom making, fabric and stitching and altering recyclable materials using a heat gun.
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for children aged 8 to 11 years. It is open to beginners and children don’t need previous experience as full instruction is given on basic skills
The course is accessible for children of all abilities who can participate in practical art and craft activities. A parent or carer may assist their child if extra support is required. Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible. The course involves participants to use a pom-pom maker.
What will you learn on this course?
This one-day course is for children who are interested in working with textiles and learning how to make pom-pom. The course covers the following topics:
- How to make pom-poms using a pom-pom maker.
- How to use equipment safely
- How to create a pom-pom wreath and if time permits embellish it
The tutor will demonstrate basic activities, gradually building in more advanced activities suitable to individual needs if needed. During this course participants will be given step by step instructions by the Tutor.
At the end of the course all participants will have a hand-made spring wreath made of pom-poms.
