Explore your own projects and ideas to extend your textile knowledge or simply spend a relaxing day being creative in the textile studio. Artist Tutor Helen Lane will be on hand to offer help and guidance.

Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for adults aged 18+ years. It is open to improvers and advanced. You will need some previous experience. Those experienced in textiles are welcome to work independently with tutor guidance and support given as needed.

The course is accessible for people with disabilities who can participate in practical art activities. This course requires dexterity in the hands. A support worker or a carer may assist.  Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

What will you learn on this course?
This one-day open studio is the perfect opportunity to spend a relaxing day being creative in our fully equipped Textile Studio exploring your own ideas and developing projects. 
If you are an existing student this is a chance to continue work on your individual projects under the supervision of artist tutor who will be on hand to offer help and guidance as required. For the less experienced, Tutor will be available to support you to begin work on a design of your choice. You will also have the opportunity to further develop your skills in decorative techniques such screen printing. 
Our fully equipped studio will give you access to various textile equipment and all necessary tools 

Do you need to bring anything?
You don’t need to bring anything. All materials and equipment is provided.

Are there any additional costs?
There are no additional costs. The course price includes all materials.
