Event Information

Camille, an introverted teenage skateboarder from Long Island, meets and befriends an all-girl, New York City-based skateboarding crew called Skate Kitchen. She falls in with the in-crowd, has a falling-out with her mother, and falls for a mysterious skateboarder guy. Poetic and atmospheric the film precisely captures the experience of women in male-dominated spaces and tells a story of a girl who learns the importance of camaraderie and self-discovery.

Each screening will be preceded by short film Boarders Without Borders: a short documentary following Girl Dreamer who are the UK's first women of colour longboarding crew to use sport as a tool for social change.

MAC’s reopening cinema programme has been generously supported by BFI FAN Covid-19 Resilience fund from the National Lottery, through the BFI Film Audience Fund.

Duration stated includes trailers and adverts (check individual listings for Q&A details). Please note that we do not admit latecomers after the main feature has started and we have a limited food and drink policy. You can also see more information about Relaxed Screenings here.
