Ustad Irfan Khan is the khalifa (head) of the ancient Lucknow-Shajahanpur Gharana of instrumental music and is one of the last instrumentalists of the subcontinent with a vast reperatoire of historic compositions and a detailed insight into Raga grammar.
Deepa Hattangady Karnad is noted for her mellifluous voice and possess an extensive depth of repertoire, Deepa's performances synthesize a fine blend of technical virtuosity and aesthetics spanning the Agra, Gwalior, Kirana and the Patiala Gharanas / Traditions.
