What will you learn on this course?
On this two-day course you will learn how to explore your creativity in the medium of creative writing and drawing and painting. Taking your inspiration from well-known authors, you will develop your creative writing skills to weave a narrative which is set in a season of your choice. You will be taught how to build a narrative and ways to develop your descriptive skills. You will then move on to learn some simple visual arts techniques to combine words and images to make a small folded book.
The course will be delivered through a combination of group work to develop ideas and demonstrate art techniques and individual project work with the tutors providing individual support and guidance as required.
On completing this course you will have produced an original piece of narrative writing and created a small folded book incorporating some words and images emerging from your observations and narratives based on the seasons.
