LET'S MAKE SOME NOISE

Since 1962, MAC has been central to lives of so many of us and we will continue prioritising arts for everyone, long into the future. At the heart of our mission is MAC's award-winning inclusive music programme, MAC Makes Music. This ground-breaking programme provides innovative music education opportunities for children with additional needs. We put the young person’s voice and creativity at the heart of our work.

With increasing budget cuts to music education, it is crucial to invest in young communities that will be disproportionately affected. This is why we were thrilled to receive Arts Council England Funding to transform our old, inaccessible, and damp(!) music rooms into modern, engaging, and accessible studios.

We are so close to reaching our target to give the next generation of musicians the studios they deserve.

While construction has finished, we're still fundraising to supply the studios with the important finishing touches. Your generosity will make a world of difference, enabling us to purchase accessible equipment and instruments including headphones, speakers… and even a drum kit!

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT 60 YEARS OF MUSIC-MAKING

The new studios are officially open, and we're ready to make some noise in them! With thanks to Arts Council England's Capital Investment Programme, the new space features enhanced technology and a professional grade recording studio to maximise opportunities for local musicians and MAC Makes Music participants alike.
