Music equipment kindly donated by Focusrite for mac makes music project

mac Birmingham’s award winning mac makes music project, which offers music making opportunities for young people who face challenges - are the proud recipients of over 50 pieces of music equipment. Kindly donated by Focusrite, a global music and audio product company, the equipment will help to ensure many more workshops take place at mac and across the city with partners.

Equipment donated includes: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interfaces, Novation music software controllers and iTrack Docks, which will enable participants to record to an iPad, drum machines, KRK monitor speakers and studio headphones. As a result of the Focusrite donation, mac makes music participants will now have added capacity to make electronic music using computer enabled technology and synthesisers.

Phil Dudderidge, Executive Chairman, Focusrite Plc said: ‘At Focusrite / Novation we live for music. Most of our staff are musicians. So we are delighted to be able to support mac Birmingham with a donation of our products, to help them expand their facilities for children and young people who would like to learn how to make music and record. We look forward to building a long-lasting relationship with mac and to see our products inspire the rising generation of musicians.’
