We want to hear about everything musical you're doing at home!
Get involved with our new MAC Makes Music Asks You campaign for children and young people, and let us know how you're making music during lockdown.
Whilst our building is closed and MAC Makes Music sessions are postponed, we want to spread some joy and find out how our audiences are being musically creative.
How to get involved
We're asking these three questions for you to answer:
- What music do you like?
- How do you like to make music?
- If you could do anything musical, what would it be?
You can send us your responses in whatever form you fancy - make a videos, draw a picture, write a song, or send us your comments!
All you have to do is upload your creation to social media and make sure you tag us @macmakesmusic @mac_birmingham using the hashtag #MMMAsksYou.
Here's an example made by our MAC Makes Music team to inspire you...
About MAC Makes Music
Our award-winning programme, MAC Makes Music, provides innovative music making opportunities for children and young people with limited access to music provision. Through the programme, the MAC Makes Music team deliver a variety of music making sessions and projects - from our Every Voice singing group, to performances with our very own in-house band, SWITCH.
The MAC Makes Music team work with families, Pupil Referral Units, charities, primary schools, children’s services, centres for newly arrived children and young people, and special schools to influence sustained music making activity. The young person’s voice and creativity is at the heart of a diverse music offer in new music technology, song writing, band development, singing and music production.
MAC is a strategic partner of Youth Music working towards creating a musically inclusive England, where every child can access music-making opportunities, regardless of their circumstances. Find out more about the programme here.
Get involved and send us your responses for your chance to see your creation on our social media channels and website! We look forward to seeing how you're being musically creative at home...
