You may have heard about the Musical Activity Pack Doorstep Delivery initiative that we recently set up to stay in touch with some of our Hidden Voices participants. Throughout lockdown, we have become increasingly conscious that we cannot rely on the internet to stay connected with all of the communities that we work with.
We have continued to develop our “no-tech” remote offer for ourMAC Makes Music programme, and are really excited to announce the release of our new musical postcards and worksheets, with artwork by the brilliant Ben Connors.
These activities have been designed by our fantastic Music Leaders to support the bank of online videos and Lockdown Resourceson our website. However, in order to keep making music with those who feel that working online is not for them, and those who don’t have access to the internet, we want to post these out to young people across the region.
Holly Radford, MAC Makes Music Producer said: “We are incredibly conscious that accessing the internet and online opportunities is not possible for everyone. We are therefore delighted to be able to start sharing printed resources and activity packs with those who need them.”
If you are a charity or a school working with vulnerable children who would benefit from printed material, please get in touch and we will send these free postcards and worksheets out to you.
We are really delighted and thankful that our partners Severn Arts are working with Worcestershire Children First to print 2,000 copies of these resources to share with vulnerable families. We hope to make similar links in other areas across the West Midlands.
