March update from MAC

Mon 1 March 2021

In respect to the Government's proposed 'roadmap' announced last week, MAC's team is now planning for a sensible and safe summer reopening. We know that dates are contingent on the data and may be subject to change, so we must continue to remain flexible and move forward with cautious optimism.

We hope to open MAC's doors to the public in late May, and will announce the exact date closer to the time. It is our expectation that almost all of our fantastic arts activities and our brand new café will reopen together (more news of this soon) - though operating under a reduced capacity until 21 June in line with Government regulations. After this date, we hope to revise our capacities for a full summer of events.

We know some visitors will remain cautious about returning to a public building, and we will continue listen to our audiences and adapt our activities to ensure everyone feels safe and secure at MAC.

Please keep checking our website, e-newsletters and social media channels for updates on our programme and other news, plus ticketing information for upcoming courses and live events.

We know that many people are facing all manner of challenges due to the impact of the last year. I want to personally express a huge thank you to our audiences who have helped us through this difficult time - whether it be contacting us with messages of support, completing essential surveys that have helped our planning, making a donation or becoming a member of our Supporters' Circle.

We value each and every one of the acts of kindness you have shown us.

For now - best wishes, stay creative, and we hope to see you soon,

Debbie Kermode

CEO & Artistic Director, MAC
