Would you like to feature in a public photography exhibition to celebrate the Commonwealth?
We're looking for people to be photographed by award-winning photographer Maryam Wahid to take part in an exciting exhibition that will be on display in 2022 - 2023.
MAC is working with PATRIZIA – the developer and owner of the new rental apartments being built next to Edgbaston Stadium – on the photography project to mark the Commonwealth Games.
If you have a Commonwealth Heritage and live/and or work in Edgbaston, Balsall Heath, Moseley or Kings Heath we’d love to hear from you.
Photographer Maryam Wahid will take your picture, which will then feature - along with a short biography - on the hoardings surrounding PATRIZIA’s building site on Edgbaston Road/Pershore Road.
Whether you are a shopkeeper, business owner, work in health or education or the arts/culture sector and would like to get involved, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your story, including a brief background on your links to the Commonwealth, perhaps through a parent or grandparent.
We’ll be selecting sitters over the course of the next few weeks.
You’ll need to be available for one photographic session on either:
- 20 December 2021
- 15 January 2022
- 16 January 2022
See further information below about the project.
Let’s celebrate the Commonwealth and the people who have made Birmingham the diverse city it is today!
PATRIZIA is one of Europe’s top ten real estate assets investment managers. The company is developing 375 new homes for rent on the site next to Edgbaston Stadium.
Maryam is an award-winning British-Pakistani artist/photographer based in Moseley. She was a judge for the Hold Still 2020 competition set up by the Duchess of Cambridge to document lockdown through the medium of photography.
