Meet the musicians and performers who lead our diverse music programme.

Jonny Amos

Jonny is a Songwriter and Producer who is extremely passionate about using music as a tool to engage with young people who face challenging circumstances. His projects/workshops are based around Composition, Music Production and Band Building.

Chip Bailey

Chip is a drummer/percussionist with over 25 years’ experience of gigs, performances, sessions and workshops. Chip is passionate about working with other musicians and enabling everyone to participate in making music. 

Davina Brownrigg

Davina is a Birmingham based musician specialising in voice who graduated as a Mezzo-Soprano from Birmingham Conservatoire with 1st Class Hons. Her resume includes solo and choral singing, vocal coaching, teaching singing and early year’s music, and she also enjoys working on songwriting and community music projects.

Jimmy Davis

Jimmy is a Birmingham based emcee/poet who works regularly with young people on community music projects. Primarily known for his ability with words and lyric writing, Jimmy is also a skilled producer & studio engineer.

Justice Hotep

Justice Hotep is an Artist, Producer, Engineer, Actress and Vocal coach who has spent recent years refining her craft and providing her musical expertise to a verity of projects, community groups and schools. Justice works with youth of all abilities including SEN and PRU, and helps students gain Arts Awards.

Ann Jones

Ann is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist who specialises in improvising and composing. Ann believes that everyone has a musical voice. She is a skilled facilitator and focuses on access, inclusion and participant led work.


Chris Mapp

Chris is a bass player, improviser and composer. As a composer Chris uses found sounds/audio recordings and manipulates them into melodies and soundscapes as a basis for improvisation.

Nathan Portlock

I help people to create new music and songs. I try to be the servant-leader; acting as a musical guide and instigator but also as a follower and most importantly a collaborator. Together we're strong. Let's play!

James Stanley

James is a Producer and Songwriter who uses his expertise to engage hard to reach young people/adults. He has worked across settings including hospitals, prisons, schools and pupil referral units and trains emerging musicians, teachers and staff.


Martha Thompson

Martha is a Birmingham based musician currently studying for an MA to be a Music Therapist. Whilst studying performance and flute at Birmingham Conservatoire Martha started working more in the community with music and has a wide range of experience with all ages and abilities.

Dan Whitehouse

Dan is a singer songwriter and guitarist. Dan uses music and song writing in a therapeutic way with vulnerable groups of people such as those with learning difficulties, acquired brain injury or young people in pupil referral units.


Sarah Wilson

Sarah is a musician specialising in digital and electronic media. Sarah is passionate about access to music and works with young people and adults in a variety of settings. She also enjoys cross-artform collaborative work with other artists.
