Are you an experienced ceramics student?
Take the next step in your learning with an artist pass at MAC.

For experienced, self-driven artists looking to progress, our Artist Pass unlocks affordable studio access to spark innovation. With our flexible Artist Pass scheme, you can have affordable access to our Ceramics studios to develop your ideas and practice independently.

The Artist Pass is for creative individuals who are experienced and confident in their own practice, to work without guidance in our studio spaces - though you're often sharing the work space with other Artist Pass holders who can offer helpful advice.

To apply, please complete the application form and read the terms and conditions below.

All we ask is that you have previously attended a MAC learning & participation course (to advanced level where applicable) in the appropriate discipline and/or have been involved in a MAC project and/or have a relationship with MAC through a programme area and can provide a referee.

Artist passes are available for individual users only.

A limited number of artist passes are available and, following a successful application process, will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ceramic artist pass access times

Artist Pass is offered on set days based on a term time and holiday calendar.

Term Time Access:

• Friday – 1pm - 5pm
• Sunday – 10am - 2pm 

Holiday Access:

• Thursday – 10am - 2pm
• Friday – 1pm - 5pm
• Sunday – 10am - 2pm 

Access is for Ceramics 1 or 2. Please ask which studio the session will be held in at the Welcome Desk upon arrival.

2026-27 term dates

Autumn

Start date from Mon 14 September 2026 | Half term date from Mon 26 October 2026 | End date from Mon 7 December 2026

Spring

Start date from Mon 4 January 2027 | No Half Term | End date from Mon 22 March 2027

Summer

Start date from Mon 12 April 2027 | Half term date from Mon 31 May 2027 | End date from Mon 5 July 2027

Please note that artist pass access is subject to availability and we urge pass holders check before travelling in case there is a last minute change to the published access times.
