Keep creativity open to everyone
Every day, people of all ages discover new skills, friendships and possibilities at Midlands Arts Centre (MAC).
As an independent charity, we believe everyone should be able to experience the arts, whatever their background, age or ability to pay. Your support helps children take their first creative steps, brings communities together and gives artists the opportunity to develop bold new work.
Why your support matters
Ticket sales and grants do not cover the full cost of keeping MAC welcoming, affordable and open to everyone.
Donations help us provide free and subsidised creative experiences, support children and young people, create paid opportunities for artists and ensure more people can take part in the arts.
Whether you give £5 or £500, every donation helps make creativity part of people’s everyday lives.
Making an impact
In 2025/26, MAC welcomed 801,785 visits and enabled 48,488 participations in creative courses.
We welcomed an estimated 16,502 visits to non-ticketed arts activities and worked with 393 participating artists, including 161 Midlands artists creating at MAC.
We also provided artists with 519 days of support worth £63,675.
Behind every number is a person discovering something new, developing their creativity or feeling that they belong.
What Your Donation Makes Possible
£5 could help someone take part
A small donation can help us keep activities affordable and remove barriers for people who may otherwise be unable to join in.
£15 could help a child discover their creativity
Your gift could help provide materials, equipment or a supported place in a creative activity.
£30 could support an artist
Your donation could contribute towards artist fees, materials or the development of new work.
£50 could help create a free arts experience
Your support could help us bring people together through a free exhibition, performance or community event.
A monthly gift helps us plan ahead
Regular donations give us the confidence to develop long-term projects, respond to local needs and continue offering accessible creative opportunities
