Christmas Arts Markets 2026 | Open call for stall holders
Calling artists, designers and makers - applications are now open for MAC’s Christmas Arts Markets, returning on 28 - 29 November and 5 - 6 December 2026.
A lively and influential fixture in Birmingham's creative calendar, MAC's Christmas Arts Markets showcase work by an outstanding mix of designers, makers and artists from across Birmingham and beyond.
Highly popular and well-loved, each market offers the chance to discover original contemporary artwork, handmade gifts, prints, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, homeware and much more – all directly from the talented people who create them.
In 2025, more than 20,000 visitors attended our free annual Arts Markets, reflecting their longstanding reputation as the go-to destination for high-quality independent art, craft and design.

Who can apply?
We welcome and encourage applications from emerging and established artists and makers, including those who are underrepresented within the arts sector.

How much does it cost?
Applications are free. Stalls are priced at £75 per day. These fees support the running of our Arts Markets and contribute to every element of MAC’s mission to make the arts an inclusive and important part of people’s lives.
What does market day look like?
Stall holders can access MAC to set up from 8am. Market opening times are 10am - 5pm.
What will MAC provide?
MAC will provide a trestle table and chair (180cm long x 70cm wide x 73cm high). Access to power can also be requested.
Do I need insurance?
We encourage stallholders to take out public liability insurance. Stallholders take responsibility for all stock items and personal belongings on site.
What press and marketing will MAC undertake?
We work with stallholders to produce a range of digital assets. We include listings on our website, in our printed brochures, on prominent screens around our building, on our social media accounts and also often in local publications and magazines.
When will I hear back?
Applications will close on Sun 19 July and all applicants will be contacted by Wed 5 August.
Can I apply for 2027 seasonal markets?
This application is for the 2026 Christmas Arts Markets only. Applications for MAC’s seasonal Arts Markets will open in early 2027.
