What will you learn on this course?
This 12-week course offers a fresh, ‘start from scratch’ approach to drawing, ideal for beginners and those looking to revisit the fundamentals. You’ll explore a wide range of materials and techniques to develop your understanding of line, form, tone, scale, proportion, mark-making, and perspective. You’ll also be introduced to various drawing systems that can help elevate and structure your work.
Through a combination of practical workshops and live demonstrations, you’ll build a small portfolio that documents your creative progress. You’ll be encouraged to draw from observation, secondary sources, and your own imagination, developing both technical skills and personal expression.
Whether you're completely new to drawing or looking to refresh your skills, the tutor will offer personalised guidance to suit your experience level. The course also includes opportunities for group discussion and feedback, fostering a supportive and inspiring learning environment.
By the end of the course, you will have:

This course it for adults aged 18+ years. It is suitable for beginners.

Do you need to bring anything?
Please bring a sketchbook and a set of pencils with various grades of graphite (i.e. 2H, HB, 4B, 6B).
Are there any additional costs?
All additional art materials are to be provided at your own expense.
